Keyless operations service require?!? (smart key issue)

Hi guys, my lancer will only start using the emergency key. on the Instrument cluster it is displays keyless service required. anyone know what the issue is or will i indeed need Mitsu to service it.

i thought i could have been battery, i replaced it and to no avail.. :/ car is dismantle have to wait till its done to get to the dealer

I think you will find that chances are because you have pulled your car to pieces... It may need to be re programmed.

I've been told that the initial cause is a flat battery, but it will need to be programmed by the sounds of your problem, and the dealer will hit you for it.

I know on earlier CJ Lancer's the instrument cluster actually says something more like batter is running low or something along those lines unless it is something more serious!

I have replaced mine once or twice but mine always says 'Battery running low' and I also own a 2008 CJ Lancer VRX!

If the cars apart you may have unplugged one of the antennas for the keyless.
