So it's coming up to my 75,000 KM service and i'm having a debate with my brother about where to get it serviced.
I say it doesn't matter where you get it serviced as long as they follow the logbook etc but he says because it's still got the 5 year warranty that i have to take it back to mitsubishi service centre.
Who's right?

i think so long as you take it to someone who can stamp your log book and is going to use correct fluids you should be ok

yeah i just thought if you don't have the extended warranty etc you can go to someone like kmart auto and get it done so long as they follow the logbook you will be fine.

As long as they stamp, certifying they're following logbook, you'll be fine. Your 5 yr Mitsubishi warranty/Diamond Advantage package also comes with roadside assist/breakdown service. This is what you'll forgo if you don't get it serviced by authorised dealer. Cost of a years membership with a breakdown service ranges from $60-150 (yes, there are other companies besides NRMA that offers this). If you factor in this additional cost of joining a breakdown service, you may still be better off with dealer servicing.

can go anywhere as long as they stamp your log book, use oem parts/fluids you will not void warranty and you can get done at any service, don't have to go to dealer for every service.

Hi Kevin , Sounds about right what Chi has said & I personally would stick with Mitsubishi for your service's as I have had all my service's done through my local dealer , And they really looked after my car & had fixed 3 things under warranty without any dramas ,
Now my car is out of warranty I had a faulty part needed replacing in which was going to cost me $2.500 & my local dealer put it to Mitsubishi head office to pay for this part "Out of good will they said because I still had my services done there " Anyways Mitsubishi agreed to pay 75 %
And I didn't feel their service costs are any higher then any mechanic .
Just a little thought for you
