.... hi guys sorry to bring up this topic which i guess has been up many times B4.. i just got a 2008 my09 vrx cj aaaand im completely unsure of the previous owners actual effort in regards to servicing.. log book looks all good up intil 60,000km... just wondering if anybody could give me a complete run down on all filters to purchase and all oils to get ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!.. would be much appreciated thanks in advance!!!!...
Oil filter.... and best oil for NT climate darwin
Fuel filter.... best to get or otherwise
Air filter... best to get or otherwise
Transmission filter oil... its a stick shift
Engine coolant.... currently green unsure of anything else
Transfer.. rear diff oil....
Timing belt?.. best to grab..

Use OEM filters they cost about the same as good quality brand filters.Check with your local spare parts shop for your oil and coolant requirements.Just use good quality brands and you'll be right.Transmission and differential are a combined unit.There is no transfer case or rear diff in your car and there is no timing belt it has a chain.Brake fluid you can use Dot 3 or Dot 4 when you change it also.Fuel filter isn't due until 105k again use an OEM or Ryco filter for this.Replce your green coolant with green coolant every two years.

Green is a good coolant colour to have.that means it has rust inhibitors in it.
If its a dirty mud colour thats not good.
That usually means a blown head gasket. Dont know how tough it is to replace on the lancer but done a few other vehicles and its not too tough
