Hi Guys & Girls, just wonder what's your parking habit in a carpark?

1. Drive straight into parking bay.
2. Reverse into parking bay.

I have always reverse park whenever possible. It's just easier to get in and out.
My wife was in a hurry and drove straight into the bay and this is what happened
Lucky she didn't hit other cars and no one was hurt.

Ouch! Really unfortunate but you have to replace both doors now.

I always reverse park here in Au. And I always source for a lot away from everyone. Still doesn't help us avoid dings though.

In malaysia and singapore though, I always head in park.
You should never reverse park a FWD vehicle in those countries. IT'd be terribly easy to steal otherwise.

Depends on the car space, location and my haste.

Generally in older/renovated shopping centres with slimmer car parks, I reverse in arse first. Seen too many people for nose in and whack their car on the building support column as they are angling when reversing out.

Nose in if the spaces are wide and accomodating.

Yeah I am still waiting for the insurance to get back to me. Not sure if they are going to replace both doors or just the front one. All I know is I have to pay $1400.00 excess because my wife is on "P" and she is not a nominated driver. =(

Lift the front and roll it away.

Use a tow truck, lift up the front of the car. Your hand brake will not lock the back wheels, so you can just drive off with the rear wheels rolling along with you..
If you head in park, the front wheels are locked, the tow truck will have to drag it... .

I always thought the handbrake in a FWD car locks the rear wheels?
