Just had a call from a person representing liveservice4pc.com. He was trying to sell me aftermarket software warranties. After some discussion of what his company provided and what software I used, he assured me the following....
He will provide a better firewall than my preinstalled "Waterwall on a Sega Mastersystem Router" that I am currently using, and it will be 100% compatible with my Nintendo operating software instead of Windows. When I asked about upgrading to Weet-Bix and Honey Bios he said that it wouldn't be a problem.
Kinda glad he isn't doing any of my pc maintenance!

My fave, is when they ask for me, I just go on, oh yeah wait I'll get him for you. Stick the phone on mute and leave it on loud speaker just for lolz.
The reason for this, the agent usually can't hang up unless the called person hangs up. Pisses the agent off as their call stats are hosed being on a call for longer than needed, by the time they realise no one is coming, and they have to get their supervisor to end the call.

I swear one day im just going to take the reservation
Bahahaha
I used to get the software calls too, not so much now I dunno why?
Anyway, I would let them talk for all they wanted to, and then when they wanted a response from me I would say that I didn't hear them properly and get them to repeat themselves.
After they repeat the spiel, I then tell them that I have a Mac. The switched on ones will end the call. The not so switched on will tell me that they can provide 24x7 support from Apple.
I then ask them why I would ring them 24x7 instead of ringing Apple?
The switched on ones will end the call. The not so switched on will tell me that they can provide better support than Apple tech's.
By now I've had enough and I go for the clincher, How much?
This is where they get excited!
mind you I'm not actually listening anyways so I don't know how much.
In the end I tell them that I'm not interested and thank them for their time. To which 10 minutes or so has gone by and no sale for them.
