RANT SECTION! Let of some steam...

Postby ScootaX » Tue Feb 19, 2013 10:50 am

Pretty much to have a whinge and a sook. Let off some steam. I think it is good to vent with people who usually care about what your venting about...

RIGHT!

So pretty much. (Long Story)

I went to service my car cant do it till next Thursday but I wont be here as I work away. So the guy tells me that he can now do it tomorrow if it is here by 7:30 and I can pick it up at 4pm as it service will be complete.... My question is...... How long does it take just to do a oil change really?

Answer Stuff them I wait another 3,000km and get my next service done a yamanto or something they may be actually useful.

2nd.
To old mate in your jacked up cruiser with your big massive mud guards. Your mud guards did shit all this morning you were in front of me and you were just driving along but you decided to make a pot hole in the road and you flicked a rock and have chipped my pretty blue bumper and now I need it fixed before the meet on Sunday. So once again your mud guards are worthless and thanks for the chip.

RANT OVER!

Pete I am thinking it. The bumper thing is pretty shattering.... First chip, and I already got it booked in for it to be fixed and resprayed etc.

Though actually a man hug would be good right about now. OR a beer.

Well to answer your rant about servicing.
It's easier just to tell all the people that have a a booking to bring their cars in at 7am, they cars are there and they can pick and choose when and which cars get serviced in what order. Not all cars are there for a oil change. So depending on the scheduling of jobs and staffing they can shuffle jobs around and give the easy ones to an apprentice so they can meet the deadline of 4pm.
The logistics of scheduling very precise appointments is too hard and costs money. What if the 10am job gets finished early. The service manager has staff twiddling their thumbs until the 11am person rocks up. Idle staff costs $$$.
.....that being said, if you really need the car for the day, you can be really nice and offer to be the first car in and be out. Of course it means getting up early and getting there first-ish. I've done that once.

The stone chip sucks... but mud guards are for mud, not stone chips being ejected from the wheel well. Don't worry, I copped beauty following a truck on a interstate highway. Lovely stone chip on the bonnet, just a few inches away from the windscreen. Better the bonnet than a new windscreen, I guess.

... hmmm beer.... :D

Yeah I was going to be there before they opened so i would be first but he said he could. Cant really understand it. But oh well.

I needed to blame something, so mud guards were it.

Stone chip would be better than unsecured load from a removal truck
Even worst when you cant get the truck to stop.

That's what I am experiencing now, all I have is a number plate

I got told by a friend that there's no point in modding my car at any point because it isn't an Evo. Stayed calm but really I wanted to have a go at him. -.-

TrojanHorse wrote:Omg so what!? Is this the same idiot that said why do you have a cannon on your car? So what just cause its not an evo it cant look good? Or even improve slightly on what you do have? FFS ppl mod swifts etc! Much less powerful than our cars! And just a question... what car does this friend drive out of interest? Prob an old crapbox not worth modding anyway you look at it... can anyone say jealousy? :P

No it's a different person, and his car just recently got damaged pretty bad. He owns an EG Civic 5 door; which isn't a bad car and people mod that too so it's not like he can talk LOL.

The one that said why I have a cannon on my car like he has a problem owns a Toyota Soarer. Lol.

I think neither of them understand that sometimes people prefer form over function. Hell I've seen old Russian cars look bloody amazing and they aren't even fast at all.
