Hey,

I have a 2.4L VRX Sedan Manual

Looking at getting a new axle back exhaust. Options so far are:

GReddy - Spectrum Elite
Xforce - Varex

Im not really a fan of the magnaflow.

Any one got any reccomendations of other brands or the ones i have mentioned? Thanks!

We're actually discussing this as part of the group buy.

The GReddy will be prohibitively expensive A$580 for the part.
Whilst the VAREX will be A$650 installed. I'm trying to get a lower price now since I will probably be going with a VAREX Oval muffler.

I did suggest group buying a Borla exhaust as well but no one knows about Borla since it's more an American Muscle car thing.

yeah i saw that. ive been trying to sus out some performance info and some vids so i can hear which one sounds better. for me the greddy wins. just gotta see if its worth the extra 100-150 bucks. the good thing bout the greddy its just straight bolt on. Wont need to get anyone to install it.

The GReddy would fail the sound test I'm told. That's what worries me.

I'm starting to see the joy in going for a VAREX.
I will be going for an oval muffler and will be buying a tip to make my exhaust look stock.
The sound when the valve is closed will be quieter than stock. And no cop will pull you over to ask if you have a VAREX muffler installed. It's controllable, the GReddy is always going to blare.

So long as you know when to turn on and turn off, you'll be safe. I'll pay the price for the control I'll get.

I think the Injen is a bit pricey also, aroudn the mark of the Greddy. Although I think with Injen you can get the entire exhaust system instead of just the axle-back, if thats what you wanted to do. Personally I wouldn't go through the trouble, but just throwing it out there as an options haha.

None of them beat a proper custom made exhaust... which is also cheaper...
