brake cleaner just wipes niteshade right off

fine, now I'm not 100% sure how easy it goes off
my mates did it on their tail lights and it was mint condition

I just used a rag dipped in petrol and elbow greese, it came off really well. I did it about 6 months ago and the lights look exactly like stock without any problems or reactions with the plastic
