i'm not sure if anyone has really mentioned it, but the spin switches for the air con... They sound horrible, very rough and plasticy they drive me insane. my brother has a '94 toyota supra with smoother buttons.
besides that and obvious road noise and rattles, i love my car

Everything has pretty much been said already, but for me I don't really like it overall(I don't hate it or regret buying it), my parents pushed me into buying a brand new car with 7 air bags lol.
What I really would have had is a nissan silvia s15 non turbo(p plater)
but at the end of the day its nice having a new car.

But now that I think about it I porb wouldn't get a silvia up the driveway, the lancer barely clears it and its factory height.

sooo it still would have more kick then the lancer and you can put a turbo in later.

BUT then again I don't really know I've never had one before, if you say there are no good then I'll take your word.

also you will realise how much more practical the lancer is having 4 doors,
i used to have a little mitsubishi mirage i modified, but i could never fit anything in it (drums, people etc).
i was going to get a gen 3 rx7 if it wasnt for the p plater laws here, but i am very happy with my choice :)

the lancer isn't to be sneezed at, they are pretty quick for a standard car.

and "putting a turbo on later" it's the same... same as putting a turbo on a es instead of getting a raliart. the engines are totally dfferent

My 19yr old had a 1979 series 1 RX7 12A on his P plates. He bought it when he was 17. He loved that car. It started to get unreliable so we sold it and he bought an old VR Calais.

Not sure if it has been said already and i'm unwilling to trawl through 14 pages of responses, but the biggest issue in my RA is the visibility. The windows on the front doors start quite high and the rear window has the spoiler in the way. Other than that...Brilliant :)

The minor issues I have are:

- Poor rear visibility
- cheap sun visors
- small glove box
- average full consumption and speed resets after the car is off for 4hours
- rear left door rattles with music
- USB is slow when I have 8Gb of music plugged in

Other than that, an awesome car!

The road noise on my MY08. Drives me nuts, although new better tyres helped somewhat. Gonna dynamat and foam the floor and wheel arches soon though.

Other than that, and the fact that it's not an RA, pretty damn happy

- Lowered on Kings
- Black Evo X FMIC/ Evo IX BOV/ Depo HFC/ UR UICP

1. Boot size is crap on Evo X. Yes I know I have chassis strengthening/strut bars but it doesn't change the fact that I can barely fit a suitcase in there.
2. NVH levels aren't so good.
3. Lots and lots of rattles
4. MMCS is good but it's crap in comparison to units from other manufacturers- i.e. it feels very dated
5. Difficult to open bootlid
