How much did u pay for the red carbon twellsy??

Can't remember the exact price , I bought both the red and black carbon fiber through a mate on mine so I got it very cheap , the black is brilliant compared to the red ( the red seem to be a little see through once applied )
I think I paid around $90 for each color , each roll was big enough to cover the roof and bonnet ( they where huge rolls )

I know this thread is a few years old but heck were always being told to use the search function so here we are.

Anyway basic question but how hard was to to find the trim?

I've done the usual checks on eBay, yet to hit the wreckers. Also how hard is it to remove the door trim bits, I understand you need to remove the whole door panel and unscrew them from behind.

Ideally I'd get some cheap replacements to paint up and always have the stock ones to put back on when it's time to sell up.

The other option is some good CF wrap but that's not the look I'm thinking of.

The door trims are easy to get off and apart if you are handy with tools.
Painting the parts is best to leave to a spray painter in my opinion. These require a very good finish because they are so visual.
Finding them in wreckers shouldn't be that difficult now, but most charge a left kidney

The other option is plasti-dip, I know it's not gonna give the same finish as proper gloss paint with a clear coat but a lot cheaper and easy to revert back to stock.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried painting things like the trim in plasti-dip, let it dry and then do a couple of coats with a gloss finish and clear. So it could all be pealed off later?
