Not really.

There are a few people who have MUT III's here.
Also Mitsu can only really charge you for the electrical labor for your car. as i presume you will buy and replace the part yourself.

the whole process of writing the change to the ECU and testing it should not take longer than 15 minutes with only 1 tech at the helm of the laptop.
Maybe a little more as the laptops provided to Mitsubishi are slow dinosaurs.

So you shouldn't have to pay more than 80$ per hour of labor for a senior tech....

There are online user guides floating on the internet that you can provide to Mitsubishi that even show step by step guide on how to do this.
With Pictures! AND give approx time frames for each job.
If they give you a unreasonable figure i suggest not getting your car serviced there ever.
