Hey all i have a 09 GSR manual, it has a rear muffler and an ARC intake...The car only gets about 250kms to a tank of fuel PREMIUM...I have a feeling its running rich, 2 questions, 1: how many kms do you get out of a tank of fuel say "normal-spirited driving"....and what do you guys think about meek for a retune?? Mrt and tune house quoted $1500 for a tune, as meek said $550

What are you onions?? thanks

sounds thirsty.
mrt uses ECUTEK whic incurs a licence fee of $800 when i used them.
although i dont know about meek, if they are tuning by opensource that would probably be the price discrepancy and probably nothing to do with the quality of the tune

You should get over 400km driving "normally" and definitely north of 300km driving with much use of the loud pedal mate.
250km, something is REALLY wrong, even if you are giving it a fair few squirts here and there.

did you initially get it tuned somewhere that has done a fair few Xs before? I'll be blunt - a LOT of big (and popular!) shops have got no idea how to get the most out of them. But also a lot of shops are really improving based on the work I've seen recently.
Some places seem to only tune the full boost/full throttle parts of the map just to pump out a number and make the customer happy with their xxx kilowatts.
But sooo much can be done to cruise and part throttle to improve both response and economy. make sure who ever you use does all that for you.

heh I need to start charging $1500 for tunes. might get to retire early :)

Since your in Sydney, you can get Merlin to correct the rich mixture. He is the guru of turbo Lancers and without the outrageous fee.
