*CLOSED* CCJ Group Buy Service Feb'10 Poll

Postby ofey » Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:09 pm

Once again, the items which didn't quite make it the last time are on the list and some new items.

As usual please let me know what else you'd like to see on the list. Remember that group buys are for items NOT supplied by our Club Sponsors.

1. Injen CAI Round 2 - Check out the link. Want your car to breathe better? This has been a favourite mod of those who like a noisier front. It does sound loud and really does add to the performance! A group buy will probably involve our Club Vendor SpeedCorp.

Image

2. Coilovers -> BC Racing Coilovers
BC Racing currently make suspension for other established brands on the market. Hence you may find striking similarities to Megan Racing USA, Greddy Type-S, Apex, and Pedders coilovers.

Local dealer in NSW apparently offer standard set for A$1,195 and the BC RACING GOLD PREMIUM BR RANGE for $1,295. A group buy will seek to drop these prices a little more.

Image

3. (Requested by bd-850) Dual Tip Exahust Muffler from Stone Racing Design - SRD Industrial is a professional exhaust system manufacturer in Taiwan. With a view to providing superior exhaust system for customers worldwide. Of interest is their new Dual Tip Exhaust 9215Ti. They also have a single tip version but would be unwise to go for due to the GReddy offering being better for less money.

Image

Here are the general specifications:
a) Distance between tips = 1075mm
b) Noise levels of the dual exhaust is 85dB @ 4500 rpm
c) All exhausts come with 1 yr warranty under normal use i.e. no rusting or crack at welding joint..

Tip options and pricing (of set only):
(Shipping as you might expect will be dependent on HOW many we buy)

Image
1.7630: Diameter of the tip is 76mm, 30 degree slant cut design. Material: SUS304
Price = A$400

Image
2.105D: Diameter of the tip is 105mm, double-wall structure. Material: SUS304
Price = A$450

Image
3.105D Ti: Diameter of the tip is 105mm, double-wall structure. Material: Titanium
Price = A$450

Image
4.9215Ti: Diameter of the tip is 92mm, 15 degree slant cut design. Material: Titanium
Price = A$550

4. (Proposed by R4LLI4RT) BOV for RA
New Model-Specific Dual Port BOVs
Stronger, more durable, adjustable and capable of withstanding much higher boost levels than the factory item, the new Dual Port BOVs are ideal bolt-on performance replacements for the factory items.

MITSUBISHI DUAL PORT
Part Number: TS-0205-1020
DESCRIPTION: Model-Specific Dual Port valve.
Available in Red/Silver only.
APPLICATION: Mitsubishi EVO VII – X, Ralliart Colt

6. (Proposed by Blakey) Bucket Racing Seats as proposed by thread: "Bucket seats a few brands and prices". .
Refer to thread for details.

7. (Another Blakey Proposal) Under car LED Strips Group buy
Strips from ledz.com.

Watch a video of them in action here.

8. (As proposed by Graham) Gear Shifter boot
PROS:

Affordable - This will be under the $100 mark, way under.
Interior mod - Give your interior a brand new look!
Customize - They can be made in different colours, so pick what YOU want.
Installation - An easy mod to install, should take less than 5 minutes!

CONS:

CVT drivers might forget where D is? :P

If you're a manual driver you might be getting bored of your current gear boot, if you vote for this option and it is successful you will have the chance to purchase a better looking boot made from high quality italian leather in your choice of colour(s) at an affordable price!

If you're a CVT driver you can spice up your car by adding this on top of the gear selector piece and give your car a different look (Just remember where the gears are :P) and hey, you could even fool people into thinking it's manual until they see theres no clutch.

I won't vote on it as I'm not 100% but I'd be interested in coilovers if the price is right (ie if I can afford it!)

I voted for the gear shifter boot (Since it was my idea and I want one :P )

I vote for coils, again if I can afford at time of purchasing.
EDIT: Please remove my vote, shouldn't have voted because I'm not sure if I can afford yet.

Voted for the coilovers, though probably shouldn't have considering how much I've spent already on gear.. :twisted:

Another future GB option, been looking around today actually, are gauges. Oil pressure, boost level, voltages, etc? Or what about Ingen intercooler piping for the RA/EvoX? Neither of these options are that expensive...
HKS/AMS/GFB/MRT/K&N/DBA
Whiteline/Ultra-Racing/Rexpeed/Autometer/Yokohama Racing/Cusco
...and some other stuff which the fun police don't approve of... :)

I am in the same position as the other guys.... would love coilovers (have wanted for ages) but due to circumstances beyond my control probably can't cough up at the moment.... so I have refrained from voting as well :(

You will probably have to trip the seatbelt warning.

They would not be legal for anyone with Side Airbags....

You will have to buy some and give them to me LPY :P

That would mean you need to become a premium member though ;)
