Background

The purpose of this thread is NOT for a laugh but more a serious question which we hope to address. Many of us since buying the NA Lancers have looked on enviously at the turbo power offered by an RA in addition to its AWD system. Sure it my not be the "REAL THING" like an Evo but for most of us, it will "hit the spot".

This thread grew out of interest stirred in the discussion forum " 2011 Lancer Ralliart in a Manual?????? " and also some discussions I've had with Nick of PMR.

The plan
To see how much REAL interest there was really in a Upgrade or New Purchase of RAs.
Trade This:
FOR

A top spec RA at the moment with the MMCS+RF system installed is: A$46,990 drive away.
The average VRX can be traded in for about A$20,000 and would be traded in stock, i.e. reverse all your mods and sell them in the future or attach them to you new RA for those who have modded heavily.

That means in a normal situation, you would need to shell out about A$28,000 to upgrade to an RA.

However if we all pooled together in a group buy of 100 cars *random number* . This would reduce this cost significantly. How much NO ONE knows. This would require first an EOI list to see.

To be honest I'd take an SST one if PMR could give me an upgrade price of under A$12,000. I would do it in a heartbeat. Sounds unreasonable but that's my "break point". To find out what this upgrade cost would be, he needs to know rough ball park numbers and an EOI List

Please don't ask more questions. The question is below and follow my style of answer. Where is the price point where you will definitely walk out and do this.

It's hypothetical but if we have enough people who would be willing to do this, trust my reputation, I will make it happen and if it does, we'd be world famous for pulling off a first I suspect.

And yes nick can sell cars to ANY state. It may cost abit more to deliver but he can do it OR you could fly down to VIC and we could all have some crazy large meet where we hand over 100 cars and then everyone could drive it back home. Far fetched I know but we have to start somewhere to explore the possibility first.

Thought : We have 300+ people logging on in a day. If only a third of you had the capacity to do this, it probably would happen.

I have updated the first post.

I am really only interested in a Manual and would not be in a position to do anything until next year when the 2011 model comes out. But I am definitely interested!!

Yes I would also be interested in a manual but would probably keep my es and give it to my brother

those evos are RS i think , not for normal roads

I'd say put yourself down for an RA first. Be prepared to pay more for an Evo and I'm sure if this really worked out I'm sure Nick from PMR can put you in an Evo.

Even if they did, I'm sure there is commercial related advertising in that. Since people get to watch the cars perform unreal tricks so MMA must have subsidised it quite heavily.

What we're doing here is a group buy. The biggest CJ Lancer club in Australia is attempting to Group Buy upgraded cars.

I wish those on MCA would join us on this but I suspect:
1. They'd laugh it off as being wishful thinking
or
2. They wouldn't want us to succeed since we'd then achieve much more than them.

I just want us to get the EOI we need for PMR to go show just cause and proof to MMA that if they really did give us a good price, we'd actually make this happen. We actually have REAL dealership backing PMR is willing to bend over backwards to make this happen so long as we can justify with enough EOIs.

First things first. IF you'd really would do this, please let us know your interest through this EOI. You have nothing to lose by saying what you'd do but retain some sense of perspective by making sure you can afford it.

Yeah but how much advertising do Mitsubishi get in promotional material for the show as well as during it.... I am surprised MovieWorld paid anything for them!

i'd want a straight swap but i'd rather go into an evo than an RA.

as much as i would love to this in the real world i couldnt, unless i get a mass amount of work this year.

but i guess if you need the numbers you can use my name. and im sure there would be others out there that would take the car if i cant buy it (meaning there would be heaps of people not on the forum who would like one)
