eBay price of US$138.00 (A$182.79)
Dependent on response, price will be adjusted.

For those who did not take part in the first group buy (of front lips): A$160.00

legality anyone?
Fill me in - these do look nice and that price is not the highest for a finished part.....

I just wanna keep my ride legit! - does anyone know (not does anyone think... I can do that myself!) does anyone KNOW without a doubt that these would be legal / illegal?

Just to make sure there's no mistake, you're up for A$160.00 if you're keen on these since you were NOT part of the first group buy of lips.

The dealer has offered that special price simply due to the number of problems that arose in the first group buy as a kind of apology.

Hmm I wonder why not? It's doesn't block any lighting nor change any colors.

I'm under the impression (but don't know 4 sure) that ANYTHING that covers the headlight or taillight of a vehicle is illegal unless it has been passed in a roadworthy (ie. we may get a canarie until we can get a roadworthy, which would probably deem the eyelids ok because as u say they don't block anything)

I'm 90% sure u wouldn't even get the cops look at them.
I'm 90% sure that if u were in a crash, AAMI wouldn't have a problem with them...

But that's still 10% chance that u could get F'd over if they AREN'T legal... so anyone sure sure sure about it?

ok... my cuz came over and gave me a aussie roadworthy book that he's got... (he's a mechanic) it's like, a compressed version, so it doesn't have EVERY detail in there, but he said it's what a mechanic uses when checking for R.W. so it should do the trick...

Says that as long as front lights don't dazzle u or oncoming (or drivers in front / rearview mirror) traffic, and the beam still comes out of the headlight at a certain angle (somethiing to check maybe) there's no problem with it.

Also said "headlight dividers / trim must not cover the main part of the light" - a little ambiguous, but it's not really I wouldn't say.....

that being said... I don't think I will be in on this one anyways mate - nice find tho - price seems decent ;-)
