sorry guys I have to take myself off the list - I watched my wife leave the house this morning to see how close the bumper came to hitting the road - and it's less than an inch as is :(. I knew I couldnt get the car lowered for that reason but watching it this morning made me realise if I got this suitable looking lip, it would get scratched every time we left the house :( :( - sorry to pull out.

Just updating since everyone is anxious...

I've attempted to get in contact with this guy still no response as yet.

He's given leevin an initial quote for 7 pieces @ A$1621 (= A$231 pp) but that's not inclusive of any shipping and he now wants pick up in Malaysia rather than Singapore. That's only a A$30 discount from his first quote. For a group buy, I'm just not so sure that's a good deal.

For those who are keen, I'm just wondering what people will find reasonable for this part delivered. I'll come out now to say, A$265 DELIVERED is the maximum I think I'll pay for this. Shadow's auto folding mirror was only A$300+. So surely a non-mechanical/electrical part cannot be more than that!

We're trying to pull something off here but it isn't easy if he doesn't write back and negotiate. So sit tight eveyone.

Just a thought... Seeing as he doesn't seem able to do pick up from Singapore, it's possible his just a middleman sourcing it from either VOX Motorsports, or Scorpion from Malaysia. Perhaps we could work out a better deal co-operating directly with them?

VOX

Scorpion

I have spoken to one of them in the past about quotes I can't remember what was said as it was awhile ago. But they said they can do delivery to Australia.

Try and get in contact with VOX ofey, see what they say. Even then it may be cheaper to post to Singapore, and then to Australia.

I'd probably be looking to spend about the same amount $260~ plus postage. Postage is still going to be a bit of a killer :(

Just an update, I've written to VOX now asking for 10 pieces and seeing what kind of prices they can do for a group buy. We await their response.

Hi Guys,

I might be interested in this centre lip from VOX.

http://www.newpages2u.com/products.php? ... ANCER%2008

I have this posted in the bodykits thread along with the full width one you are all looking at but nobody has been able to get a reply from VOX apparently or could answer my Q about quality, cust service etc.
If whoever is contacting VOX could ask about prices of this one too that would be great.

Hi, was actually interested in that part till leevin proposed the current part we're discussing. So I did get a quote on that:

MITSUBISHI LANCER 08 VOX STYLE FRONT BUMPER LOWER CENTRE LIP ON DIFFUSER. US$66

courier service charge to Melbourne, Australia US$85

The item is PU fibre material material and is install using 2 screws on the bottom. No screws required.

Hey Ofey,

Thanks a lot for the info.

Sorry but what is "PU fibre material " never heard of that before??

I assume it goes over the ends of our "horns" to line up with the vertical edges of the centre "intake" area.

Only 2 screws to attach you say??

What was your impression of VOX from their response to you re this part??

That's exactly it. He mentioned those exact things to me. 2 screws under the car and the material type. It's a strange description but I didn't pursue it further since Leevin brought up the part we're discussing here. I'm asking them about this part now and if they give me a quote say US$95 and US$85 for shipping. I'm going to chomp at the bit to get the extended front lip. I think it looks better.

Yes his prices are very reasonable.
