I don't know guys. This was supposed to be an end of October buy. I don't think there's much harm in waiting for the other quotes to come back if they say they can do a better rate. Considering we could all grab these off eBay for $410 each (with a Best Offer option):

Realised my bad, meant Oct not Nov.
The 55" could double as a virtual car, the screen is about as wide as the lancer... should get myself a gaming console....

You'll find that price is on par with what Advance Speed Shop is offering.... that ebay listing doesn't include the hydro-shield if I'm not mistaken.


Ofey: Can you just check with Advance Speed Shop about seeing if they can cram the Hydro-shield inside the CAI boxes to save on shipping....

From their website:
Shield = $19.48
Shipping via Fedex Economy (5 days) = 31.94

CAI = approx $273
Shipping via Fedex Economy (5 days) = 108.48

If combining both items
Shield + CAI=$292.48
Shipping = $134.31

I figure we could save around $30 or so USD in shipping. The shields are just material so dont weigh that much more can can be crammed into the CAI box..... just a thought for saving some bux for club members...

I've had a look at the link provided by draevon and while I cannot comment on the product, the price is very good. It kind defeats the group buy we are currently planning.

The ebay price is now about A$405 for a SP1835P.
It will cost about A$20 to add a hydroshield which will bring the total to A$425 which is the exact price being offered by Advanced Speed Shop to deliver. This price is also by shipping 2 in a box or more. So the eBay option looks to be the best.

Advanced Speed Shop doesn't want to price match as they claim they're already making very little.

I think the savings of doing a group buy is really insignificant so I would suggest we abandon this and just go with individual purchases from this eBay link.

Unless someone can convince me otherwise?

Seems a shame if no sellers will come to the table and offer us a good price for a bulk order, but in my opinion, I'm all for group buys, but if the price is going to be the same-ish, a group buy means a whole lot more work for ofey for not much gain in the long run??
