Does anyone know if this unit is using components from branded companies? I've heard of some unbranded TVs which have parts from Sony and Samsung, albeit older by a generation or two.

SD Card will come with maps on it Andrew if you pay for it, or you can send one to Crift for him to copy them into it for you for the cost of post & return if you already have one.

i can prolly sort out an image of sorts of the sdcard. the only thing is i dont know how to upload files in that nature. ill do a lil googling and see if i can work something out. If everyone uses their own sd card itll save u all roughly $10 each. but ill only do it if theres enough people who want to do it that way otherwise ill be wasting my time!

Add the contents of the card to a *.zip file - use a program such as 7Zip, WinRAR, Winzip, etc.

Then upload that archive to http://www.2shared.com/ and give us the link. Easy peasy, but not so legal to redistribute maps - so whether you do it or not is up to you.

can anyone confirm the compatibility with bluetooth control and other audio controls on steering wheel? and anything additional for it to work with RockFord fosgate? maybe we should organise a group installation since NSW has so many ppl interested.

Im just wondering how good would the headunit be with an aftermarket system.. Tuning capabilitie and can you plug speakers/subs straight into it or?
