ok CJ is the Worldwide Model/Shape name given by Mitsubishi for the Current Shape 2008+ Lancer,
the previous 2006/7 Model Shape was called the CH Lancer.
Every time Mitsubishi creates a New Model Lancer, they give it a letter prefix.

I know ey, its gotta be one of the easiest things to get ur head around.

What I love is how people keep saying the old lancers (CE, CH etc) are faster, more powerful, whereas I know two mates with CE's and I smash them every time we drag...of course, it could be that they just suck.

Lately though, whats been annyoing me is people saying the back end of the CJ's look shi'ite, compared to the back end of the old ones. specifically - the beautiful tail lights!!!

Guess why? Coz they think we copied Mazda lol.

They do look like the mazda but thats ok because our lancers are so much more aggressive from the front.

Before I had my CJ I had a CH and when I first got the CJ it felt like it picked up speed better than the CH but I feel that the CH is quicker because it is smaller and more nimble. That being said, I probably feel that way because we sit higher in the CJ compared to the CH. Either way the CJ is a much nicer car and a better car to drive in my opinion

i agree with you nicho, the older model was a touch more nimble....
but the CJ rocks!!!!
its a better and improved car!

Yes, even when you look at the extra features we get with this car standard like abs and stability control. I know that if these had been installed on my CH I would still be driving that!

The CJ is a far superior car in so many ways
Looks/handling/safety the list goes on......
My CE had a 4G92 Mivec conversion done and it flew!
But then all the work done on it cost a bucketload of cash,
even though I did most of the work myself

the my08 / my 09 things work on what month its built for example if the car is built oct/08 its a my09. you will find "most manufacturers will use a June/ July swap over period. So a july 08 would be a my09 june 08 would be a my08
