Car washes in Brissy

Hey everyone I was wondering if some of the Brissy members could recommend a good car wash station in brissy somewhere and let me know
where it is. The reason being it that by the time I get back to brissy my lancer would have done over 2000km's without a wash. I figure I better
wash it before I attend my first meet, but I figure I will do it a car wash because you brissy guys are still on tight water restrictions are you not.
Anyway thanks.

We.. don't really have water restrictions anymore.
Here is a quote:
"# Efficient sprinklers and hoses can be used to water gardens and lawns (but not from 10am to 4pm or on Mondays) and as long as it’s in accordance with guidelines
# Vehicles and outdoor areas can be washed at any time – as long as water is used efficiently
# New pools can be filled with town water and existing pools can be filled as long as efficient fittings are in place
# Daily water use target is 200 litres per person per day
# Rainwater can be used at any time
# Please use only what you need"

If you have a rain water tank you can wash your car with it. It's been raining heaps so all the tanks should be full.
I don't trust these car washing places. Who knows what they use and the sponges/microfibre sponges which haven't been cleaned in ages = scratching of your paint.
Worst comes to worse what I do is I'll take the cars to a auto jet spray place and chamois dry the car myself.. though the last time I took a Golf in it didn't clean very well at all. Got a refund for that!

I have 24,000 Litres rain water tanks. My neighbour is a prick and dobs me in every time I wash the car. I was warned, but explained to water company that I use the rain water for the whole house. They checked and now ignore their complaints. The stupid thing is the neighbour washes their driveway down every day

Thanks for that Adrian but if you guys do not have restrictions I will do it at my mates place. In terms of car washes I have not used one before but refuse to any auto car wash with rolling brushes as they do scratch paint work, I wash after a self wash bay.

Lucky QLD :/
Stage 3 down here.
- No washing of any vehicle except at a commercial car wash that recycles water and holds an exemption allowing use of potable water
- A general exemption* exists for using water to wash a vehicle's windows, mirrors or lights, and for spot removal of corrosive substances, and then only with a bucket or watering can filled directly from a tap (not by means of a hose).

The Redland Shire (Where I am) has never had any car wash restrictions. Brisbane City has had restriction until recently when they got relaxed due to a surplus of water. Hosing gardens etc is still only permitted between certain hours on certain days etc

Another reason I like to wash my car with rain water is because it is a lot softer. My rain water is filtered, so no dirt particles to scratch my paint.
Adelaide water sucks as we get the left overs from the eastern states.
