So basically all states are saying p-platers deserve the right to drive new turbocharged cars as they are fuel efficient, but the car cant b anymore then 130kw/tonne and they plan banning high performance diesels, like is there really such thing as a high performance diesel. Here's the link

The diesels are coming along. There is a new BMW diesel hybrid going into production that is faster than the m3.

Same with the Audi Q7 with the 6.0 V12 Twin Turbo, Around 500hp & 1000nm of torque... more then enough power for an unexperienced or bad driver to do serious damage

Lucky the Range Rover is about a billion tonnes so it needs all that power but still, any performance SUV is pointless, scary but fun... just hope SA doesn't end up quite as bad as the Eastern states in regards to P Plate laws, makes it hard for the young people

This would be based on Kerb weight not gross wich the Ralliart wouldnt come under...other wise it would include the Lancer X as well...Not to be a wet blanket but both RA and X will be a no go on P's...both over the 130kw/tonne or...both will pass wich i doubt...there woud be no point in the rule.

Not really, going off the specs of the mitsubishi website
Ralliart:
Kerb mass: 1,555kg
Max Power: 177kw
Kw/tonne = 177*1000/1555 = 113.8kw/t

EvoX gsr (lighter one):
Kerb mass: 1565kg
Max Power: 217kw
Kw/tonne: 217*1000/1565 = 138.7kw/t

Ralliart makes the cut.

Or else they'll just slip in an extra line somewhere saying its 130kw/t but with overall max of 165kw or something.
