BUT... the club is accepting donations. So does that make it a business then?

No. ClubCJ is a collection of car enthusiasts. Donations are not a form of revenue, they are simply a way of keeping the club running. When donations are low, the fees for the website (upwards of $400 for changing servers, which we did last month) come out of Aaron and Matt's own pockets.

The only other thing involving money is the clubcj decals and hoodies etc - however these are sold to you at essentially cost price plus postage - the decals we are even giving away to premium members (one small one per member etc) and cannot be seriously seen as a revenue raising enterprise. And Pierres right, it all goes back INTO the club.

copyright does suck. but policing this site about copyright would be a bit of a pain for the moderators

but yeh if you really care about you pics watermark them.

One and the same. The photos of the CARS involved, this is a car club remember, were submitted by the members whose cars they represent, with the exception of the formation parking job.

Oh there's the sarcasm! You've slightly missed the point of a watermark - its designed to be unobtrusive, a see-through text in one corner of the photo. Not a big (C) in the middle. Although I can hardly blame you for making the point - I take the same view most of the time.

Yes, because hosting fees is totally ALL of our expenditure. Donations in the future will be used to subsidize fees/costs for (an example) hoodies, meets etc. Are you suggesting Aaron is nicking the money?

Heres your main problem. By joining this site, you agreed to a set of terms and conditions. By clicking 'I accept' (and if you're like me, you probably didnt even read them, but thats actually irrelevant), you effectively signed a contract.
