ideas for taillights? newbie question...

Postby LuLu » Fri Apr 19, 2013 11:00 am

Hey guys
So i was just looking round ebay and stuffs and saw a pair of altezza lights and am seriously considering them =D
now i know this sounds stupid but how long would it take to install on my lancer and how difficult is it cause i haven't really done much lighting altering to any cars except change headlamp globes. Also, anything else i should consider like bulbs etc...?
Much appreciated guys :)
EDIT: they look like these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/08-10-Mitsub ... 82a&_uhb=1
was also keen on smthg like these (but would be buying the watomi racing ones, think metalstrix has them)
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-CJ-Lance ... fd0&_uhb=1
recommendations?

They are awesome. Very easy to install- even i could help. You could install them within half an hour.
You use bulbs from original lights AND the new ones that they supply you

They are pretty straightforward to install. As Belle said, not more than 30 minutes.

Trying to remember the bulbs...just keep them all until you install. That doesnt make you dumb..dont be silly. I got my friend - an ex mechanic/auto elec. To install them...but I watched how easy it was. No need to buy any more bulbs (for the ones I got at least)

Id say it would fit. 08 is just the general starting area I mean 07 still featured some of the previous lancers if that makes sense. You could always ask the seller.

Lancers only came out in the US from 2008, so all american stores say 08 up, though the 07 is exactly the same in terms of fitment

An 07 Lancer is an MY08. 2 main differences are the amount of blanking (soundproofing) and oil shocks instead of gas in the later models. If anyone knows with thoose LES tail lights, I've heard some of them mess with the cruise control and can throw a CEL warning, anyone heard of this?

Older version did I think. I use cruise control quite frequently- no problems at all
