vland headlight bulbs
I've been looking at getting some new cool looking headlights and tail lights and saw the two bulb choices, being HID w/ ballast and LEDs and was wondering what would be the better choice. I understand that with HIDs they require the headlight washer to be installed. and with the smoked tail lights, how dark is it? I understand that it is legal in some states as long as the lights are visible 200m away from the rear and with the bulbs being LEDs for the tail lights would it pass in WA?

Ask the appropriate authorities in WA is your best bet

So would that be going to the station and asking them there?
because I just read Road Traffic Rules and it states:
82. Performance of tail lights
(1) When on, a tail light of a vehicle must —
(a) show a red light visible 200 m from the rear of the vehicle; and
(b) not use over 7 watts power.
so would saying as long as its visible and shows red its perfectly legal?

I know in NSW you cannot tint tailights as it contravenes the Australian Design Rules.I’d say that the same in your state, but go ask you never know.

I'll ask around and see what comes they say
Pretty sure these headlights can work with either HIDs or LEDs but the HIDs are a no go because they produce over 2000 lumen which requires them to have a washer to cool the headlight down if im correct.

LEDS and HID globes require different reflectors and lenses so they aren’t interchangeable. The aftermarket headlights aren’t any better than OEM lights with good halogen globes.

So true lancerdaryl, I've tried various in several different cars always come back to best possible OEM spec bulbs. Some LED "replacement" types supposedly interchangeable will work if you don't mind slightly different beam patterns.

The biggest problem with retrofitting LEDS & HID is the aggravation it causes everyone driving toward you at night.Very antisocial

I agree, I have Blue tinted halogen in low beam and LED in high beam, my sons Ralliart has a super cheap home brand upgrade kit that seems to work fine [ all halogens ]. Some cars you see heading towards are awful.

Re: vland headlight bulbs
I had bi led projectors fitted to my peugeot before it burned to the ground. I had the adjust ment spot on and it was no different to factory. If anything it was a little lower than factory halogen bulbs
