i was just wondering if it is possible to wire up an aftermarket alarm (such as a viper alarm) and have it arm/disarm the car by the locking and unlocking with the smart key?
and if so, how would you go about doing this?

As far as I know, it isnt possible. If it was, you would probably need an alarm which is specificly designed for the 08 lancer which utilises the CAN-BUS wiring system. For what its worth, probably best to go with the Mitsubishi OEM one.

I have an aftermarket one in mine, but I dont have the smartkey system..
