also want to buy the carbon fiber gauge pod that fits over the steering column, question is does this block the display behind it or can u see
over it
both items are on ebay
can anyone help?

Something like the cp-e one?
Cant say I'm a fan really, looks like some of your view will be blocked.

Heaps of devices can scan/read your OBDII data and yes, Boost is one of them.
Everything from Garmin's latest satnav units to the iPhone bluetooth OBDII kits claim to be able to read the OBDII data.
I personally use a GReddy Informeter Touch in mine.

Which gauge pod you referring to dude? If it's the Rexpeed one being sold by Rota Aust on eBay (only one I know of which sits on the steering column) then yes it will block the lower part of your gauges, depends on your sitting position really. Actually the seller couldn't even confirm if the pod would fit the RA (pretty sure it does though). Are you looking at the single or twin pod?

those don't block meters as you'll be sitting at a higher angle so you should be able to see ur speedometer fine
