Headlight Bulb question

Postby Metalstrix » Wed Jan 23, 2013 3:46 pm

Hey guys

As some of you know, my angel lights are on my car ^^. But there was a catch to todays installation. There's no headlight bulb in the headlights! So I have to go buy them. I do know that I have to by H7 light bulbs as mwang said in his post. The problem is, I don't know what type of light I'm buying.

Am I buying the bulb by itself? Am I getting a plug in?

Should I buy this?

I'm pretty they are H7 maybe H7B
There are two types (obviously) and you need the one with the brown plug underneath the globe (hope that makes sense)
Mine's quicker then yours!!!

if you want a hid bulb..you will need to install ballasts..if you are going straight from oem lights..you will just need to buy a h7 halogen bulb from supercheap, etc. you can get pretty good halogens (around 4300-5000k)

From the pic looks like you need a HB4 bulb! i recomand to get PHILIPS 100%+
The link what you put it up is with HID bulbs so you will need the balast to run them! But if you run HID's without a projector you can get defected by police or called --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2nJfH_RXnk

Any lighting questions should be checked in the Lighting section first - All your answers would be there - LOL

If you tried the search function on the forum, or looked down the modification list you would see a section called 'Lighting' - One of the sticky's is there is called the Lancer Bulb list ! << Click Link

As this is an aftermarket H/L it would most likely be H7 or H1.

What did you end up getting for it Thomas?

Also that pic you have showing is a dummy plug that goes into a dummy socket from the old headlight you have, halogen version. (HID factory headlights use that plug for the leveling motor)

Hi Mick

I actually ordered some H7s. But I've paused my order at the moment because I haven't got confirmation that they are the right ones. I'm still doing a bit of research on them.

It's for http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120938858887 ... 3867wt_914

It would be great if anyone can confirm that H7 will be the right bulb
