I've found that when u start up and want to call someone who you have in your phonebook the most efficient way is...instead of saying....
"Call John"
you just say "Call" and wait.
After that you get asked... "Name Please"
You then say the Name "John"

Since i started doing it like this i have not had a problem with it calling either digits or someone i didn't want....

E63.

My old one was a 6111. It seemed to die quicker after I went to Avalon for the airshow. It got wet (a lot of rain on the day) & i wonder about the airport scanners. But it could have been on it's way out anyway. New battery did the same thing.

I should add that I emailed Nokia but didn't get much help other than them telling me they have a bluetooth setup. And when I got my car serviced the other day the dealer said they could find no problems with the bluetooth. I feel there is a setting on the phone that I am missing.

Have you tried the latest version of your phone's firmware? The Nokia PC Suite program has a firmware update program. Update to the latest and see if that works.

But it could also be the phone is too new, and the software in the car's Bluetooth needs to be updated, that is if Mitsi even updates it!

I looked a while ago & they didn't have an update for the phone yet. But I will look again.

I think this is more my problem.

If your receiving calls ok than it should work calling out.

Just an incompatibility with certain Nokia models, got the same problem...

Well lets hope Mitsu can update their software & Nokia so they can finally start working as they should. Until then...

See here for more info on this problem I discovered yesterday, after playing around with mine and visiting my mate at the dealership:

iPhones have that same problem, they don't always reconnect automatically. The trick is to pair it numerous time, then it seems to work. Well, it did for my missus' iPhone.

I don't have bluetooth - Option on the RX/ES and all - but my GPS has bluetooth so I use that. Haven't had any problems.

Am quite aware that you can have problems with some phones and bluetooth devices though, and from my experience it's more the Nokia's then any other brands.

The Garmin GPS I had in my old car (stolen out of the car when dumped after car was stolen) had the annoying habit of not 'disconnecting' properly unless I switched the phone off and back on again - speaker wouldn't re-engage.

Phone's a Sony Ericsson.
