workshop/SEARCH/2008/index_M1.htm

We have the connector C-317 go to the link above then CONFIGURATION DIAGRAMS --> DASH PANEL and it is in the same location

The plug that connects to the hazard panel is C-18 (16 pin plug) and it is pins 15 & 12 that connect to the alarm indicator light

Connector C-317 is on the fuse panel and is the larger plug at the top left (15 pin plug) These pins are 2 & 9 that connect to pins 15 and 12 of connector C-18.

It does mention that the wire from pin 2 goes through a connector (C-07) but in our manual it says that C-07 is the receiver antenna module and only has 12 pins whereas the OS manual says it's a 24 pin joint connector this could just be an error as our manual says C-02 C-03 and C-04 are the joint connectors.

So from what i can read. The circuit goes: Battery --> Relay 30 --> ETACS ECU Via connector C-307 --> Fuse 9 (15A) (radio fuse i believe) --> out via connector C317 (pins 2 & 9) --> through joint connector (in pin 11 out pin 10 ???) (for pin 2 only) --> in via connector C-18 (pins 15 & 12).

P.S. I am in no way an expert, and it is difficult to translate images into text. and unfortunately i cannot attach photos here at the moment. I will get a chance to look at my ETACS unit on the weekend.
No longer own a lancer, Fairwell. *yield*

It would make sense to do it that way to avoid extra remotes and it would stop the factory immobiliser getting annoyed with the extra stuff. This wouldnt be a diy install. I used to fit car alarms for a company for many years. They are very compicated.

The other option is to find out what bits are required for the Oem alarm and fit those and enable using ETACs software. Lots of People do this on Peugeot cars. They have similar software and in lots of cases where the same in some cars as the Mitsubishi cars. This is how they originally made stuff to customise the Etacs.

Sorry to revive the dead post but i saw the viper 700 VXR and VR and would these be plug and play for lancers?
And the viper unit you sent says its for Toyota/Ford/Nissan so would it work the Mitsubishis?

I have a 2008 Lancer DE. My aftermarket alarm is hooked up to the factory immobilizer and works amazing. Previous owner installed so don't know if he did it or the shop but I would do the research and probably DIY it.
