Do you have a valet switch for the alarm... ? Do you know where it's located? I guess the process will be different on the model - check your manual. This was from the 460 Max manual... looked like the same remote you had. *shrug*

Try this

➢ Disarming without a transmitter
This feature allows you to disarm the security system
without the
remote transmitter
should it be lost, damaged,
or disabled. In order
to disarm
the system without
a remote transmitter, you must have the
vehicle’s
ignition
key and know where the Valet switch is located.
Be sure to check with the installer for the location and the number of
presses of the Valet switch required to disarm the system.
To disarm the security system,
turn the ignition to the ON position.
Press the Valet switch
the preset number of times
(one to five times) within 15
seconds.
After 5 seconds, the system
will now disarm. If the system does
not disarm, you may have waited too long; turn the ignition off
and on and try again.
Location of Valet switch_________________________________
Number of Presses______________________________________
Important! The unit can be programmed to respond to one to five
presses of the Valet switch for the disarm function. Be sure to check
with the installer for the desired programming.

I know exactly where the valet switch is but they never provided me with the amount of times to press the button and for how long.

I littereally picked up the keys to the car they said "use this to unlock and lock the car now" and thats it.

I disconnected the battery, disconnected the harnesses from the main unit and the alarm was still going off. I decided to disaemble the siren and smash it a few times against my hand and it seemed to have shut it up for the interim. I think maybe water or something has gotten into it and its shorting the circuit.

Does the actual siren speaker have the backup battery in it or is it in the alarm main unit?

Thanks for your help btw pete, sorry if i seem frustrated, this alarm has been nothing but trouble!!

Sounds like the back up battery in the Soren is dying. It's in there to make the siren go off if someone cuts power to it.

Loss of power = siren goes off.
Battery going flat does same thing
