So i see that many of u have 'P' signs on ur cars. I'm assuming u are new drivers. Well over here, we have the same sort of thing except it's a green 'N' signifying I'm a new driver. Well basically, i took mine off today and the paint on the car has discoloured. My car is dark grey but where this thing was, it is light grey...what should i do???

It's illegal to display "P"s in your windscreen area
They must be attached to the front and rear of the car on the external
My son was fined for not correctly displaying his plates recently
Try the cut and polish if you wish but I agree take it back to the dealer and get it sorted

Is that just in NSW or does that applie everywhere, my P's r stuck on my windscreen, never had any problems with the cops they always check it when i come to a rbt and say nothing about it just as long as they can see the P's

That is so not true it isnt funny..

They manufacturer P's specifically to be stuck on the inside of windscreens, to say 'no you cant display it there' is ridiculous. its far more likely your son had them right down low on the windscreen so you could barely see them.

I have my P's on the interior of my windscreen as well.

I stand corrected then Josh
Perhaps what you said was the case, sorry for any confusion created
I'm always willing to admit when I'm wrong
Maybe I shouldn't have taken my son's word and checked the rule book myself

I'm sort of more worried about the two points your son has lost. Did he specifically state thats what it was for?
