Newbie anyone know where to get an Evo X hood STEEL hood

Hi all,

Bought a Evo X hood dry carbon fiber. My First mod didn know it was illegal in NSW so gonna put it up for sale again with pics which sucks. FRP Fibreglass and carbon fiber all illegal which i found out after i bought it.

Guess Looks can kill!


Anyone know where to get OEM steel Evo X Hood/Bonnet :D

Due to the splintering and shattering properties they are deemed to cause
more damage to a person should they be hit by your car. Steel will absorb impact and bend rather then just shatter

FYI, OEM Evo X/Ralliart bonnets are aluminium, not steel. Run you about $2k, not cheap - but the CF one probably cost you the same...

I just picked one up for $420, wondering if that was a good deal? Paint will be at no cost via family…
Might pick up a EVO X replica front bumper if anyone knows of any good fitting ones at reasonable cost?

Yeah as Matt said. CF bonnets when hit dont absorb rather they transfer the energy. Accidents where a CF bonnet has been install have records of coming through the firewall and coming in contact with the drivers and passengers due to its splintering etc. highly illegal and dangerous.
