One thing everyone knows about the little Lancers are that they are noisy things while driving. Wind noise, road noise, freight train you get to hear it all. Playing around with the windows found something out while driving that makes a noticeable reduction in road noise for absolutely nothing at all...
Dont have your windows all the way up. Have them all the way up then just drop them slightly and the effect is instant. Try it while driving. Once you get the hang of it you soon now how much to drop it by.
That is all it is. Something so simple yet makes a big difference. If you get lazy, you can put abit of felt up into the top of the door to stop the window from reaching the top too. Either one does the job just fine.
Its not stupid it actually works. It reduces most of the wind noise.

I have to admit, although the lancers seem to produce more noise compared to the corolla i owned before,I personally feel the noise isnt so bad. Though im not too sure if the tyre noise is a result of lack of sound deadaning,or its because of the brand of tyre Mitsubishi put on.
I only find it noisy on a course or rough surface,On a smooth freeway the noise is barely noticeable.
