Sportback sound deadening

so i decided to rip out my rear interior and put in some sound deadner. Where I live in Canada they use sand in the winter because its too cold for salt to work properly, and it is really loud and annoying when using my bluetooth or driving for 4 hours with sand rocking in and out of my wheel wells.

The rear seats and spare tire was removed just for fuel consumption testing. In the city it was improved! I got 9.1L/100Km (from 9.8ish)

As for the road noise, its decreased quite a bit but when driving above 80Km/h, wind noise is still present. (my next attempt soon)

Thought I would share some pictures.

That looks really good Paul, the wind noise I think is from the rubber moulding around the doors.

to be honest, my music is always too loud to notice road or wheel noise :)

Any one else found some more ways to reduce noise in the cabin? weather it be wind noise or road noise? I have add abit of sound proofing in the boot of my sportback but it didnt make much difference?

I'm really starting to notice the noise now - did 600km on Thursday with someone else in the car, so didn't have the music cranked and the road noise was pretty loud...
