Hey ive been looking at getting the x factor trimming for my es, but it seems the VRX seats have alot more options for trimming, and well just look better. I know this is more personal taste than anything, but what do you VRX owners think of these seats? How's ride comfort? Do they hug well taking corners at a decent speed? Is it worth finding a pair and where should i try to find a pair in my area? (wreckers etc)
Cheers

You can get anything you want in the ES too I believe. I just went all black with a blue stitch and they are amazing.
I am not sure, but you may run into issues with finding a set of VRX seats as they have side airbags and it would be against the law for someone to swap them out for aftermarket.
If you are lucky, you may find some at a wrecker that have not had the airbag deployed but then I don't know about getting them hooked up!!

Personally I haven't sat in anything other than a VRX seat so I may be biased lol - But I have to agree with Lzy_eye (but I'll keep going anyways).
They feel great, nice side bolsters and I've driven about 16 hours straight (not condoning such activities though) and I was not unconfortable nor did I lose feeling of my butt lol. As for support at decent speed (once again not condoning anything) they do their job
The only thing I could recommend if heading down to your local dealer and parkin your kiesta in the drivers seat and see what you think. Or if that doesnt sound like a fun day out... I'm sure someone at your next local cruise would be more than happy to let you have a seat (as long as you dont destroy their ass groove LOL).

You wouldn't bother refitting deployed airbags they are way too expensive to be a viable option
The VRX seats are very comfortable for OEM seats and do hug you reasonably well
I feel quite comfortable in mine and wouldn't consider aftermarkets at this stage.

I have ES seats haha!!!! I would like a little more support, but I find they are adequate. They are certainly comfy. I drove Sydney to Coffs harbour with a 10min brake... only coz I had to stop haha.
Still would love a set of EVO seats, but would have to get them covered to match my rear seat in leather

Mate,
I think the VRX seats are perfectly fine but anything can be improved of course with time and money.
To save yourself both try talking to and then calling in to see a few car upholstery trimmers.
They can usually add firmer foam in diff places , add more foam where needed, side bolsters and inserts etc probably for a better price than getting 2 OEM VRX seats.
I did this years ago to a Mitsu Express van I had whose rear seats needed to be thicker and it worked great for a very reasonable price.

Yeah the only reason im looking at VRX seats is the whole airbag thing -_-
not to mention the trouble & cost of getting a pair of aftermarket seats treamed to match the x factor leather. id just rather a seat that keeps me snug around corners so i dont have to dig my knees into the dear and console lol.
Hey aussie027, do you think an upholster could mould my seats to match a VRX?

I think they should be able to do anything you want re shaping, firmness etc depending on cost. Have a chat on phone with em to discuss then go in and see them if they sound like they can do what u want at a price u think is reasonable.
Make a few calls and get rough quotes etc before u even leave the house.
you know, well yeah we can do it for approx $300 and then give u firm when u go in as opposed to yeah yeah ,no prob and then they want your first born when u get in there.

VRX seats aren't too bad and are def better than the ES seats, but you'll find yourself still almost sliding out taking corners at decent speed (ie. track use or a nice fast and twisty mountainous road)
Unfortunately us VR/VRX owners can't upgrade our seats because of the airbags and Evo X seats are scarce. Luckily for you ES owners going to aftermarket seats is possible and that's what I would be looking at if you want better seats...
