Hey guys, just want to get your opinion on this.
Came to my head a few days ago and spent a little bit of time designing some stuff last night. Since i cant afford the lancer scuff plates, i thought, why dont i make something a little more original, Custom Scuff Plate Vinyls.
I know they might not take a scuff aswell as the metal ones that mitsubishi has, but the vinyls add a little bit more of a personal touch.
Heres a pic of what ive been designing...
I was just tossing a few ideas around with the fonts and everything, but if ive got the cash, and since jazzyB is a fitter and tuner, he works with all this kind of aluminium and steel and thought he could do this in aluminium aswell. like to cut out the letters using the CNC machine. I dont know the process, but thats later down the track if i choose to do it or not.
But what are you guys opinions on this?

A suggestion....
If you are making vinyl ones, make them bigger than the alloy ones. There are still places where my sills are getting marks. Might not look as nice, but will be much more protective.
I like the top design....

Yeah the top one is my favorite. They are kinda in the order of the way i like lol.
I might just try it out with vinyl first and see how i go, and if they aint good enough, IE, getting absolutly thrashed and not doign anything, i might go with jazzyb and get him to make me some proper aluminum ones and just 3M tape them to the body.
I orignally had the sizes at 35cm X 5cm which was alot of the door sill, but the printer couldnt print it that big. Stupid thing. But ill work something out. If you want me to make you one something similar, ie, design one, let me know and ill see if can do one for you and send it to you and then you can sort it out

The mitsu ones just stick on with 3M anyways. I would try and get some really thin rubber to run around them if you do go alloy. They will look OEM

I will keep you guys updated, i might hit up a place that does vinyl printing to see what kind of price he can do the top one for. Because i tried cutting out that lettering and it was a massive pain in the butt! Had to be really tedious and it would be too hard with something like that.
So ill just go to the vinyl place, get them to print it out actual size, and see how we go!! Ill let you guys know how much aswell, just in case anyone else is interested in doing this themselves

Heres what they look like on the car. Note, they are meant to be bigger, but my stupid printer automaticly resizes them for some reason. The auto resize worked pretty nice on the back door sill though. On the front, it just looks tiny.
What do you guys think?
Front...
Rear...
