No Steering Wheel Lock?

Hey guys

Ive got the 08 ES as most of you know, but ive owned it for about 6 months now and ive noticed that the steering wheel has never locked on me. Ive sat in the car and turned the wheel a bit...but it hasnt locked. Usally in my mums fiesta, the wheel locks with like turning it just a little bit. But the lancer...No go..=(

So its got me curious...Does the ES have steering wheel lock? coz if it doesnt then im gunna need to get my self a club lock.

I checked it in google but couldnt come up with any results.

Any Ideas?

I'm pretty sure mine has locked once or twice

Yes it should have a lock. As far as I know it is in the ADR.
Sometimes you need to turn the wheel almoat all the way around for it to lock.

My ES has locked up once or twice I'm pretty sure.

It will lock up when you turn the steering wheel like a quater left and when you turn right you have to turn almost all the way round to whee it would lock up if you turned left, if it doesnt then theres something wrong.

i have an 08 es aswell mine doesnt lock, noticed it the other day

Ive just noticed in other cars you dont have to turn it too much to get the wheel to lock

try left for like 45 deg and release quickly

make sure you dont have key inserted

I've found that the ignition will not turn if the steering wheel has been moved
