Postby M@verik » Mon Feb 21, 2011 6:39 pm

Ok so I got myself some nice track day lightweight bucket seats. The problem is the rails... How did u guys who have them either modify them or where did u find replacement ones?

Thanks a lot.

I think a new rail is needed.

do you seats have airbags? if not what are you going to do about the airbag warning?

hi mate! for my ce lancer i purchased some universal rails and drilled holes to line up to the seat bolt holes. easy job if you know how to use a drill? i can help if your in the melbourne area.
btw autobarn usually stocks it or they place you on a back order. If you didnt know yet it is ILLEGAL to change your seats whether or not its adr approved. only if you have it engineered. the adr apporval just makes it easer to be approved its not legal straight away legal when it is adr approved. learnt that the hard way. hope this helps.

Hey man. Sadly im in south africa. As for legality, I doubt it will be a problem here. The only problem i have with drilling though is I dont know how thick the floor actually is and I dont want to risk puncturing the fuel tank or damaging something if its under the seats.
