You get all the set-up stuff etc for the car with MMCS that you dont get with AM stuff...thats the main difference

haha i would have closed this thread but i didn't know how.. i managed to find one for about 600

with fascia

but hopefully someone else wants this.

Yeah .. only real reason i went for the MMCS ... otherwise that system from the group buy would have been great

i got it by chance .. wrong car came on the boat.. so they gave me the RF for free

Without creating a whole new thread for my question:

Could one of the owners of a MMCS equipped Lancer tell me if your bluetooth device connects automatically when you turn the car on, and starts playing music (assuming it's on the music setting), or if you have to connect/play manually every time you turn on the car?

oh sorry.. do you mean playing Music through the bluetooth function ?? .i dont think i can even do that .. i got the aftermarket Ipod cable

I tried googling what you said, and it looks like Australian versions of the MMCS can't stream music via bluetooth

yeah thats a much newer feature.. like the new corollas and civics have it, not sure if mitsubishi has started yet

They have - the OEM bluetooth on my MY12 ES automatically streams music when I turn on the car. It's a feature I want to retain if I get a navigation system.

The unit on the ES is different to the MMCS. I don't think MMCS does music streaming via bluetooth... just like it doesn't let you make calls with voice commands via bluetooth, which is really dumb.

I like the bluetooth voice commands to make calls on the Activ we have...
