Well, i am obviously new to this forum, but i was wondering...
Where are the best dealerships in Melbourne to buy an ES or RX lancer? One that will give me a decent price as well.
I'm looking buying one on Saturday
Thanks.
Lizzie.

Welcome Lizzie
If you want a great deal, go speak to our Sponsor, Preston Motors Mitsubishi. Their on Sydney road in Cambelfield. Just speak to either Nick or Chris and they will sort you out with a wicked deal on your new car.
Good to see the melbourne members are starting to grow!
If you have any other questions post em up and we'd be happy to help.
Enjoy the club!!

Welcome!
I got my VRX from Frankston, even though i don't live anywhere near there, but out of 6 dealerships they were the cheapest for me. (Quite considerably)
I think most dealerships are quite willing to bargain, might have to just shop around and see who's willing to come to the party.
Preston Motors is one of the sponsors on ClubCJ so they might give some nice prices.

Lizzie,
First of all, welcome to Club CJ.
Now the RX will definitely be a MY10...it is the step up from the ES. Both the RX and the ES are advertised at drive away prices in Sydney at least.
Beware of the dealers selling '09 ES's as '10's. So you have a choice of 3 differnet cars... '09 ES the '10 ES then '10 RX... each with a premium (or a extra runout discount in the case of the '09 ES.
Good luck... shop around and be willing to walk away from 2 or 3 dealerships (bid crazy low).. gives you a better idea of the market on the day.
oh...if you can wait until the end of the month, dealers are a little more willing to do a deal to meet target. If you can wait..... shop around and do the deal in 3 1/2 weeks.
I hate to say it in 2009...but if you can bring a male..... or just be hard nosed b1t-ch. Remember it is your money, and they want it. How long does it take you to earn $500? If you don't negotiate you can leave way more then that on the table. Dont!!! Be patient. Mitsubishi will build another one.

Welcome aboard Lizzie.
As Chief Buyer, I'd offer to help you buy your car if you'd like help.
I own an Olympic Ed, my brother a VRX.
Also in addition, DVS and m1n1on got their cars through me.
I could also help you negotiate with Preston Motors our official dealership vendor.
If you'd like some advice, please feel free to PM me.

Hi Lizzie
Good to see another Melbourne member
We're slowly growing!
I went to Eastside Mitsubishi (Ofey's arch enemy), but I think Preston Motors could probably do you a better deal (they are our sponsors after all).
When you buy your car, PLEASE PLEASE don't get sucked in to the aftermarket paint protection and stuff..... they really are a rip off... everyone on this site knows that. Don't make the same mistake I did
.
Well, hope you enjoy the site, and gl with your purchasing - i hope it's a pleasant experience and that you get a great deal with the options you want (i know i did).

thanks everyone.
I am going with my boyfriend so i'm sure he'll know what to look out for. He's got a VRX sportback so i'm sure we can come up with something...
To everyone thanks for the advice, i needed it.
Ofey and tadz0rz thanks for the suggestion of Campbellfield i was gonna go to Preston Motors in Dandenong, but the guy was just way, way, way too eager and desperate, he wouldnt even let me talk.
Is it okay if i mention that you guys...well the club sent me to see what they can do for me?
Thanks
Lizzie.
