Hey everyone, CJ newbie from South East Melbourne here. Brought an MY08 5 speed manual VR-X Sedan last week. Lucked out with the Rockford Fosgate system and sunroof. Car is stock, will look at modifications later as the car is primarily a family mover. One question i do have is if anyone knows if a newer Rockford Fosgate touchscreen unit will work in the older Lancer?

Welcome to the forum.
Looks like a nice clean early VRX.
Cool you got a sunroof!

Thanks Lancer1993, it looks good in photos, there are little mis matched spots here and there. Still the flashest car I've ever owned

Welcome to the Club.Nice car haven't seen many with sunroofs.I don't think the later touchscreen units will work in your car.Have a search through the sound system threads I think someone has asked this before.

Thank you VRX_08, Red ones go faster right?
Thank you lancerdarryl, I did think that would be the case, I did search a fair bit before joining the forum, but the search for knowledge is never ending
The sunroof is awesome, but i brought the car heading into winter

Sunroof in winter is probably better, as long as its closed. In summer you'd probably get too hot.

Even better when it's a 2.4L

Word of advice from personal experience, in winter leave the cover open, and during summer when you are parked keep that bugger closed hahaha
