Hey, am new to this site. Had my CJ lancer for 16 months now, and still love it. Also have an 97 Pajero for the off-roading and camping side of things. My friend has a brand new cooper s cabrio which gives the lancer a bit of a run for its money!
Originally from the UK, have emigrated to Brisbane and love the lifestyle out here.
I've attached a photo of my baby, it's not the sharpest but it's the best I have on my computer at the moment. Everything on it was ordered and fitted before I picked it up from its prime position inside the showroom....had to wait 5 months from ordering it but it was definitely worth it!

Hey and welcome!!
Hope to see you on the next meet/cruise!! Keep an eye out in that section! Where abouts in Brisvegas are you? I'm on the Southside, in the Redlands area.
Red VRXs represent!! I had to wait 3 months for mine... back in the end of 2007.
If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me or anybody else.
Adrian.

I'm northside, Windsor area. Yeah I requested an '08 build VRX in October 07 and it finally got delivered March 08, ordered it when I was living down in Newcastle and in the meantime moved to Brisbane so it was awesome driving it the 800kms up here 2 days after picking it up.
There weren't many of them on the road back then so everyone was looking at it when I drove it out of the showroom-awesome feeling!!

I kinda feel a bit jilted that the VRX now comes with the 2.4 engine where as mine came with the 2.0 one.....is there much of a difference?

I have driven them back-to-back as a mate of mine has a 2.4 and we did a comparo.
The 2.4 has a bit more torque down low, really only noticeable when in say 2nd, and accelerating from slow speeds of 20 or so (like at a roundabout after giving way)
Apart from that, they're really close.
Interior wise though, his is a lot quieter. Although the May 08 onwards got mroe sound deadening, and his tyres are stock Yokos, mine are not.
