Welcome to Clubcj.

Mitsubishi sell oem reverse sensors which are easy to fit if you are a little handy.

Doesn't it depend on the year and model you have?

That said last time I was under the back I did notice a plug with nothing attached to it under the bumper.

No all models are the same. They plug into a wiring loom inside the boot. They have a control box and speaker that mounts on the rear cross main. You need to drill a hole in the body on some models to get the wiring thread of coarse you need to drill holes in your rear bumper

So if you can get a genuine kit is it plug in and play. Apart from drilling the holes needed?

Yes.

All reverse parking sensors do is get there power from the reverse lights, pretty simple really. Aftermarket just need to crimp power to reverse wire.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I can't seem to find the Mitsubishi oem kit anywhere online. I've seen the very impressive post that Sam 24A did some time ago, the one he recommends looks good.

I reckon I can do it myself after I look into it a little more.

I think the hardest part would be the holes in the bumper.

The kit has templates for drilling the holes. Always some popping up on ebay. Expect to pay around $140.

A template would make it an easier task for sure. I'll keep an eye out for the kit but as I said I haven't been able to find one as yet

I found this kit, it's an extra $60 to have the sensors painted to match the car. The cables don't look all that long, could this possibly be an issue?
