Hey all,
Just my intro thread! Picked up a 2010 Black (Sportback) RA about a month ago! Loving it so far!
Have been doing a bit of reading/lurking and hope to contribute a bit more.

Thanks guys! Yep, been reading heaps.. I've just plasti-dipped (Armorall custom shield) my nose ring..happy with the look..not so happy with the finish...edges lifted as I was peeling the tape back. Then I tried to fix it and it looks a bit dodge in some areas...will take it off and respray at some point

Hey, welcome to the club.
Don't use plastidiped myself, but I think they run an exacto-knife or a Stanley knife Down the edge of the tape first to stop it lifting, I may be wrong tho, good thing about plastidip, just peel it back and try again lol.

I used vinyl to black out mine, you would probably be better off taking the ring out to plasti dip it

Thanks for all the comments guys!
@citris.87 - yep tried that, but maybe my stanely knife was a bit crap or blunt. It helps to spray the edges with a fresh coat before you lift off the tape, i found that worked, but then at the parts where it was inconsistent, when I went to spray, it was all clunky so the finish wasn't smooth
@RallyNut - I'm in Melbourne mate, see you're in Sydney?
@jayce321 - absolutely lovin it so far!
@vermilioN - thanks for the tip, yours looks great. I think I will remove the ring definitely and give it a few more coats to get it more smooth
