Yeah, I do that on the MMCS and it tells me to send the phonebook from the phone. But I can't find that option on the iPhone. Has anyone done this with an iPhone yet?

I sure hope this isn't one of the things that apple cheaped out on when they made this thing.

Btw, is the lip spoiler that ofey is offering the cheapest you have seen available? Are there any aftermarket ones that colour match well enough?

EDIT: I have a major problem. How do I send my contacts to the phonebook in the mmcs? I have no idea. I have an iPhone 3GS.

Some phone's don't work to well with the MMCS. I believe iphones are one of them and so are Nokia's.
There is a thread on it some where on here.
I fitted a rear lip spoiler from Mitsubishi and purchase it at trade price.
They fit perfectly and come painted so well worth the money.
I believe Ofey gets all his parts at trade and then has to post them.
Try asking the dealer spare parts for trade. They will normally give it to you especially if you purchased the car from them.

They are Parking sensors, window tint, iPod adaptor, carpet mats and a FREE reverse camera.

mechenggdude wrote:The accessories are all genuine mitsubishi. Except for the tinting obviously. The deal was $33000 on the road without 'Comprehensive' insurance. I will probably pay about $700 for that though according to current quotes.

mechenggdude wrote:I am really quite impressed, as no other dealer would give me an MY09 Aspire for any less than $36000.

Wow, you got pretty much exactly what I'm after - an MY10 White Aspire - and that price is awesome, well done!

That certainly gives me something to aim for now, as I pretty much want all the same extras that you've got too.

Let us know how you go with your car, I look forward to reading about all your first-time experiences with your shiny new Aspire.

mechenggdude could you ask the car dealer you purchased your car from about the reverse camera. It looks like they mounted it like the way I did mine.

To get it to sit flush under the rear bumper the camera has to be cut.

I wonder if there is a mechanic at the dealer that has been looking at ccj?

Are you enjoying your new car?

The Aspire's feel and look classy in my opinion.

Car is awesome. I went to the meet today and met some of the other brisbane lancer owners. Some crazy setups there really.

Car scares the crap out of me sometimes though. The rear sensors seem to go off at nothing half of the time. I can visibly see through the reverse camera that there is definitely nothing nearby.

Still annoyed about the iPhone not sending phonebook. Frazza told me to use my sim in another phone to do it. Ill try tomorrow.

I don't know how the dealer mounted the camera. Ill ask them next time I can.

So guys, I have finally decided to come back to CCJ. I was on the down low for a while after I finished uni as I hadn't got a job. But now I am finally in a graduate program so I have some pocket money now. FTW!

Which also means I am ready to spend it like crazy.

What I am planning so far:

Greddy SE Exhaust
Injen CAI
Underseat lighting (front and rear)
Underbody & Grille lighting (blue with music activation)
V-Lip
Rear Diffuser (I need help on this one as I don't know any that will fit with the exhaust)

What I have bought but is not installed:
Vortex Generator
Window Visors
Chrome Fog Light Rings

Do you have any other suggestions?

I think I said this awhile ago when you weren't on the site yet.

Some mods restrict you from getting other mods. The GReddy is one of these. The GReddy was made to fit the stock bumper bar.

The only diffuser you can get is the one that Mitusbishi made for the CJ:

MZ380476EX Diffuser Bumper Grey
RRP=A$412+
CCJ= A$390

It looks like a bunch of fins in the middle.

Obviously you could cut and weld the GReddy to fit it though.
Beeble tooned MY08 OEd. w/ RA BKit+SWheel
Cosworth Panel Filter w/ RA Intake | SuperCircuit 4-2-1 Headers | Creat’d Ti-tipped SS exhaust
BC BR-type Coilovers | UR + Whiteline Bars
EBC GreenStuff Pads | RDA Rotors

That's great to hear. Grad jobs are as rare as hens teeth at the moment. My son just finished Aerospace and Mech Engineering at UQ and hadn't even been able to get Vac work over the 4 years. Damn global economic downturn. He got himself through uni washing cars under the Myer centre in Brisbane.

He finally got a job in far north QLD after he finished uni in one of the mines as an engineer and within a couple of months had been offered different grad positions and an interview for another that he didn't even know about (all in the same week). One in the mines, one in the petrochemical industry and one in Aerospace industry. When he went for the Aero one he was up against people with Doctorates and Masters. It's hard when you just get out of uni eh. He's now a Graduate Weapons Development Engineer. Yep he went Aerospace. That opportunity only comes up once. What did you go into?

Love the car by the way. Very classy. Suits a young professional and you can still mod it without it being really horrible like some insist on :)

The rear sensors can be annoying sometimes. The ones on my hubbies Craptiva were going nuts the other day and there was absolutely nothing behind the car. That's the only thing that I wanted on mine that I didn't bother getting in the end. Everything else I really wanted came standard on the car.

$700 insurance on a car worth over $30,000 is really good. I was quoted about $624 for my Lancer by the NRMA which is insured for $23500 with under 25 drivers on it and I've had my insurance with them for 30 years. I went for the no under 25 drivers though. That way the kids have to drive my old car and leave the new one alone. It's just for me to drive :)

Well that is very coincidental, I studied the same thing as your son at UQ. I may know him. :)

I finished my course mid year so I was in that awkard situation where nobody wanted graduates to start straight away and to start only in January. I eventually got offered 3 jobs at the same time. One with a construction contractor, one in Oil/Gas and the other in Aerospace.

The aerospace one was the exact same job title as your son actually so I am sure it is with the same company. Is it on Petrie Terrace in Brisbane and does it have two Q's in the name? haha

I chose Oil & Gas though as I compared the 3 jobs and found that it offered the most career potential, the most prestige (part of a team delivering a $16 billiionUSD gas project) and yes the most money. It also offers me the chance to move back to aerospace later on as it is more project engineering/management than direct design. Which is very relevant for aussie Aerospace Engineers in particular which I am sure your son is getting to know.

Congrats to your son though, it was very hard for me to make my decision between the Aerospace and the O&G job and that is for a reason as they were both excellent positions. In the end I went vain and the money did it for me. You should be proud that your son had the fortitude to stick with it unlike me. :(

Yes you probably do know him then. He has a rather lovely Chemical engineering student girlfriend who also studies at UQ and who works for a rather large oil/gas firm. You've probably done all the same drinking type activities with him with the T-shirts to prove it :) His initials are DW.

And yes it does have two Qs in the name. He was offered 6 figures in the mine for the grad job and the other one with the q's was about half that. He decided he would rather go for happiness over money and so is back in Brissy with his gf and his little bro living in St Lucia still and loving every minute of it. He'd worked up north for 2 months and that was enough in the middle of cyclones and floods. And the money really isn't something to be sneezed at either in Brissy. It's still pretty good for a kid straight out of uni. It's just low compared to the other engineering kids straight out of uni. The mine job was up near Emerald so would have kept him away from home as well.

Yeah it's more project management here eh. Rather silly really when you'd be just as good at the design side. His major project last year did absolutely everything it was supposed to at the site in the middle of nowhere. Only one that did too. When he was doing the Vac job in the mine he was overseeing and designing the whole project for the new washery and all the pipelines and whatever. In the end he was the only engineer there because his supervisor got another job somewhere else. Kind of defeated the whole vac thing but anyhoo... The grad positions were sticking them underground for 12 months and actually learning the mining game from the ground up as lackies. Good money though. Honestly offering kids in their first year out of uni over $100,000 is very tempting.

His idea was that the money jobs will always be there but the Aerospace jobs are hard to find. It's only a young firm in Australia. There are a lot of opportunities there at the moment if you work hard enough.

He's worked so hard (as have you obviously or you wouldn't have been offered one of the choice and rare grad jobs) to get this far. We actually live on the mid north coast of NSW down near Newcastle so it's been a long 4 years paying his rent and helping him through and he's worked his butt off at uni and at Maccas first and then the Myer centre car wash to get enough money to live. And surviving on a couple of hours of sleep a night with the workload that they were expected to do.

I'll be up there in July (or whenever it is) to watch the two of them graduate. Obviously he couldn't actually graduate until he'd done Vac work but now that's all done so he'll get his piece of paper at the next one and his gf will be finished hers at the end of this semester as well. So proud of the two of them.

Still way to many years to my graduation though. I'm doing Bachelor of Science majoring in Forensic Chemistry by DE. Just plodding along slowly. No use rushing these things.
