Re: Please Read First WELCOME To ClubCJ Introduce Yourself
Hi just bought a low mileage 2015 Lancer XLS. Had a few questions regarding what exhaust systems, preferably cat-backs, would fit it before I buy one because the handful i've looked at are fitted to RA's

Hi Mate welcome to the club.
Not familiar with the XLS badging, but most regular lancers are the same two things: Either get a "complete" cat back system online, from Borla, Magnaflow etc. They usually fit 95% of the time like my Magnaflow did. But I will comment on this however - as you get a more complicated exhaust online there's sort of less chance it will be perfect fit. The axel back's all fit really easy but give very little in anything, cat backs are better obviously but there is a bit more risk to perfect fitment for a system like that.
Generally pretty good quality (stainless steel, mandrel bent etc.). Other option is just to get an exhaust shop to make you one - stainless steel, diameter, O2 fittings, flanges etc, muffler, tip etc.
We usually follow a guide for exhaust size to engine displacement. Generally a 2.0l is 2.25inch and 2.4l is 2.25 or 2.5inch. I personally went 2.5inch as I thought this was most optimal and it drives exceptionally.
If doing a catback however most of us recommend doing the Cat itself as well. Makes a big difference.

Hey thanks for the helpful reply i'll take it into account. Do you have any suggestions for good aftermarket cats?

Hey guys!! New member but not a new CJ owner. I've had my 2012 VRX for 7 years and she's my baby. I found this site looking for a how-to to pull apart my dash, had a touch screen installed and now the passenger side speakers and sub keep cutting off, hoping it's just a loose wire. I'm also hoping to slowly start doing some mods soon, money permitting of course haha.
