Getting into OBDII info
Hey all, So I bought myself an OBD plug (one of the wifi OBDLink ones, works a charm) and a copy of Torque Pro on my phone....I'm trying to find out as much as I can about using it to display certain bits of info on my phone, but I'm a: pretty lost, and b: overloaded with questions...hopefully other...

Sorry mate you lost me a bit there. Are you saying a timer isn't necessary any more because of newer turbo designs or something? The timer isn't anything to do with boost control, it just keeps the engine running for a certain period of time once you finish driving to prevent oil coking on the turb...

Turbo timers aren't really required for an RA or Evo as the ECU has pretty good control over engine functions and can be readily tuned via an OpenECU program. A boost pill or 3-port boost solenoid are common upgrades to maintain high and consistent boost levels. Sorry mate you lost me a bit there. ...

Turbo timers?
Hey all,
So I finally have a 2012 Ralliart...completely stock. Are turbo timers still a thing in this era of turbo technology? Do any RA/Evo owners run them? Or are the computers on these cars too 'all encompassing' to run something like that?

Thanks for the welcome guys :) Looking like I might be getting a ralliart pretty soon... heading to the bank tomorrow to get a loan :) I'm looking at ones that are less than 30k on the clock... For those that have one, what would you think is a 'better' thing to reach for...the centre console screen...

Thanks for the welcome guys! :) I'm 99% sold on the Ralliart....an XR5 or ST are the other options but are a bit....mmm, I love manual, but neither of them get me in the looks department. And thanks for the offers of advice, I remember when the first Ralliarts came out there were talks of SST issues...
