Re: SST clutch slipping or just needs new fluid
Clutch slip tend to cause shudder on take off. Should change the SST fluid and filter every 60k if u drive it like a family car and more often since yours is modded. Get fluid from ford or transmax dual from sparesbox. Get external filter from ford. xfer oil get burnt quicker since it is hot. Probab...

If it has the factory blue super long life, then fill with nulon blue. If u can't find nulon blue in shops try sparesbox. Last I look, nulon blue specify the mitsu super long life standard and the penrite one does not.

Re: Ralliart bonnet
If the car has been sitting in the rain, during start up, sometimes I hear a short squeal. I assume water dripped through the slot and the accessory belt might be wet and slipping. Probably no biggie.

I disconnected my battery as I won't have a reason to drive the car until they relax the social gathering restriction. Will do a monthly voltage check and top up if required.

Re: what brake pads r u running?
For those who are cost conscious, I recently installed Bosch blue line pads at the back of another car. They are much cheaper than the other usual name brands. I thought they would be made in China but it say made in Italy on the box. Seems to work fine so if you don't work your brakes hard, somethi...

Re: New Evo x hood
Looks great! On the 2.0l n/a with heavy rain would this cause any issues? I used to remove the slat in the vent to improve air flow but have put it back in. Sometimes I hear somthing slipping on engine start after parking in the rain. I assume the because the drive belt is wet. The driver side vent...

Re: Rear middle seatbelt locked up after 2 days...
I have a hatch back and that has happened to me years ago in the middle rear seat. if you take off the plastic cover for the belt hole, you can use a long thin rod to push the locking mechanism next to the wheel and release the belt. From memory, if you look into the mechanism, you will see a lockin...

Re: Looking at a 2013 Ralliart Lancer
For SST, only use transmax dual, ford or OEM fluid. Someone used penrite and the box died soon afterwards. As for interval, depends how you drive the car. Ford recommends 60K for the focus and Mondeo. I give the car a squirt once a week and I don’t get stuck in stop start so I did mine at 45K with t...

If you are first owner and your log book is up to date, don't you qualify for the 10yr, 150K drivetrain warranty?

Years ago, either ACA or TT had a segment about cheap import pads that "shatters". Have not heard that actually happen to anyone until now.

Girls often treat a car like a television. Switch it on and off. Too bad she doesn't have a real man in her life to prevent her from bumbling into motoring disaster. How much is a recon engine, 3k fitted?
