Re: My new lightbar
Wouldn't mind putting some red and blues down there, but I think some might not like that LOL I guess there is no practical way to modify the front to mount some spot lights in the flat sections either side of the number plate... thats where the metal part of the bumper behind the skink sits? Sorry...

Re: My new lightbar
Won't I need a rely for them to work? I'll have to dig through some stuff in the shed to see if I have the basic bits to rig up something this weekend. There is no reason they are not working, my only issue is there are a sealed beam with no seperate bulbs so could be pricy to replace. Thus the nee...

Re: My new lightbar
Dumb question but is there any easy way to test the spot lights I have? Not used them in years and right now I've got nothing wired up but I might have enough bits to rig up something over the weekend. They are GE sealed beams about 110mm across. (I'll post a photo later today) EDITED... I checked ...

Re: My new lightbar
Right now I'm on the fence for my spots v a new light bar. Lights beat LED's anytime, they don't have the distance of a good pair of driving lights. I beg to differ Grab a decent led bar eg Stedi and see what world of difference it makes. Maybe if your out rally driving it may make a difference but ...

Re: My new lightbar
looks mint dude, was waiting for someone to do it too see if i liked the way it looked. Question --> would it be possible (if so how hard) to relay the bar into the high beams, yet have an external switch which can disconnect/reconnect it. i think i said that really crap. basically a switch that al...

Re: My new lightbar
https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/vehicle-safety/fog-and-driving-lights the lamp/s must only come on when the main-beam (high beam) headlamps are used, and must automatically turn off when the main-beam headlamps are turned off That's light bar specific for my state (Vic) it's th...

Re: My new lightbar
I have the exact same warranty by the sounds of it. I just felt it would be safer to swap it back for the service. I enjoy playing around with the car anyway. I got a few more things I might do but nothing major.

Re: My new lightbar
I considered it but I didn't want to wait for the switch to arrive. I also still have warranty on my car and didn't want to void it by playing with those sorts of electricals, they'll void it whenever possible these day's. I had my custom muffler made up so I can easily change it back for my warrant...

Re: My new lightbar
And as for the light bar I used, I don't think it's sold any more but it was a top quality one. The one you linked had a polycarbonate lens and was ~7400 lumen. The one I used was a glass lenses, about ~8400 lumens and completely waterproof. I'd be too scared to put one that low to the ground if it ...

Re: My new lightbar
I had a spare one at home that had been sitting under the bench for ages, I used it because it was stainless but also because all the other steel I had wasn't long enough (i couldn't mount the bar far enough back so I couldn't fit the grille back on). Any L brackets would work though, as long as the...

Re: My new lightbar
This is what I used to mount it, I just cut the bar off the front and mounted it backwards. It's just bolted between here the bumper connects to the subframe.

Re: My new lightbar
I'm not too sure on the height of if but I measured as twin row that was 75mm so I assume it's probably 60-65mm. I'm not too sure if the spots would fit but if they did its not too hard to adjust. There's 5 clips under the front of the car, just take those out and adjust from the bottom. It's mounte...

Re: LED Light Bar
I'm just about to write up a post about how I mounted a light bar in a way that not many people can see if you're interested. I'll add the link in a second once it's done.
